Foreign Films  

Foreign films are usually movies that are not in English, since movies from Australia and England don’t get thrown into this category. This “genre,” exists because people are too stupid/lazy/ignorant to read subtitles. If you’re one of those people: SHAME ON YOU. You’re missing out on some great cinema if you ignore foreign films. Then again, you can always wait for the inevitable Hollywood remake. Here’s a list of what you can expect to see in trailers for foreign films: subtitles, dubs (ewww), titles you can’t pronounce, character driven stories, sex, lots of sex, Europeans, Asians, Kung Fu fights, Bollywood musicals, actors who play bad guys in American movies, actresses who play love interests in American movies, directors who haven’t sold out yet, the best of the best from a country (crappy foreign films don’t get shown in America), official selection of some random film festival, Miramax, Sony Pictures Classics, IFC Films, or some other distribution company you’ve probably never heard of.
